Monochromes and Polka dots are a rage this season. So why not have the 2 of them in a maxi? Makes it even better ;)

While the Lady in the Lace dress accessorised with a touch of Animal Print and a Rustic Statement necklace, the other girl had the right amount of Metallics to pull of an Edgy Punk Look. Shorts in Dull Gold paired with a Casual Marilyn Monroe T' accessorised with Statement Neckpiece, Studded Handbag and Wedges, this girl rocked my favorite trend of the Season "Punk" the way it should be.

 Silence is for Eternity.
The collection describes what goes on in one’s mind in a state of silence.  No matter how calm and quit it is, the mind is always in a state of chaos.  What better way to describe it than splash's of colors. The garments are flow and expressive; describing one’s mind when silent.

Sagar Tenali

Shaila Gupta:
Collection Name: Imperialism
Collection Brief: The collections always tell a story. There is always a lot of research into history and a strong thematic point of view that goes into creating each piece of the collection. The current Spring Summer '14 collection is inspired by the era of Imperialism.
The mass trading of dye brought about the idea of incorporating tie-dye inspired prints into the collection. Braided details, uniformly pleats, accessories like shoulder pads, with hand-embellished chains give the entire collection a military-esque feel true to the Era of Imperialism. The use of a dynamic color range of neon pinks, flashy blues and celebratory yellows add a tone of brightness to something that could otherwise feel quite drab and dull. It makes the entire collection festive, true to the woman that wears Shaila Gupta.

Imperialism, Shaila Gupta,
