BANGALORE FASHION WEEK STREET STYLE 2013

Bangalore Fashion Week - Day  3 and 4 witnessed a good number of well dressed people. Its easier to say that with pictures.

The Myntra Ladies never failed at looking their best. Featured again, Shivani in this nautical stirped dress and Tan Oxfords, which looked casual yet chic.

Namratha's Baroque inspired Mustard Floral cape paired with an "All black" Outfit gives the whole look a balance. Namita's "All Blue" Outfit - A blue Harem Jumpsuit paired with Blue and Gold Peep Toes gives the look a street feel with a dash of elegance.

Aashi my photographer for the event, looked great in a Baroque inspired High Waist Panelled Skirt with details in Velvet.

Sheer Maxis:
Asymmetric Maxi with a glittery twist, she added the vest that had the right amount of glitter to turn the outfit into an evening wear

Monochromes and Polka dots are a rage this season. So why not have the 2 of them in a maxi? Makes it even better ;)

Animal Print and Metallics Accessories
While the Lady in the Lace dress accessorised with a touch of Animal Print and a Rustic Statement necklace, the other girl had the right amount of Metallics to pull of an Edgy Punk Look. Shorts in Dull Gold paired with a Casual Marilyn Monroe T' accessorised with Statement Neckpiece, Studded Handbag and Wedges, this girl rocked my favorite trend of the Season "Punk" the way it should be.

My previous post (Click here for more) was about how this year Glorified Punk at its best!

This post will show you how subtle you can be with punk to suit you and your lifestyle. I styled my Sister-in-Law with A pair of simple Denim shorts, a Tank and a Cape with studs; accessories in Black Metal, which totally does the trick!

Make sure the eyes are smokey Grey, the hair is messy and carelessly put-together

Elements in Grey, Black Metal, Studs on the apparel

Punk with my heart!

"The popularity of punk rock was, in effect, due to the fact that it made ugliness beautiful" said Malcom McLaren, the movement's notorious mastermind. Bands like Sex Pistols, Kiss popularised it even more!

Be it the British Vogue or the Indian, there's a rave about this trend everywhere. Not that Punk was ever dead (Duh!), just that a lot of designers paid a tribute to this age-old, evergreen style this season.

The Met Gala 2013 also was themed around 'Punk - Chaos to Couture'..

This look is all about being fun and rebellious at the same time! Here's how you can do it :

Tops, Jackets and Dresses:

Necklaces:

Shoes:

Bags and Clutches:

Quirky! If you can pull it off, nothing like it..!

Do it Yourself:
Give an old T' or a Shirt or a pair of shorts a new kick, by adding those spikes, studs on their shoulders or Lapels or on the pockets. The best ever DIY tip is to do a Hairband with those spikes and give your boring dress a drama!

What a faboulous year for Punk!
