Street Style - Purple Loafers

This is my first Styling shoot and I chose something that I'm absolutely comfortable in - A pair of perfectly fitted Denim, a Racer Back and a pair of my New Purple Cut-out Loafers. I absolutely adore this new pair of Loafers which is comfortable to walk in and looks Chic as well.

This look is perfect for a casual day outing with friends, a Shopping spree where in you have to walk a lot and prefer not to be running around in your high heels.

'Rigo' A Handcrafted Clothing Line - www.rigo.in

Rigo, a Brand strategised as a 'Handcrafted new-age' Clothing line for men, claims to meet every need of today's generation. An innovation by a team of Doyens with experience in Plume Clothing Brands, Styling and Technology have truly given the term 'Luxury Shopping' a new definition by making Fashion affordable and accessible to all.

Their Clothing line offers Casual and Formal wear for Men. Casual shirts in half and full arm from checkered black and greys to red pinstriped shirts, formals in Cool Blues to self striped white dobbys. T's in Crew Neck, Polo's and Henleys' which can be easily paired with their ranges of Shorts and Denims.

Their Latest Collection of Casual Shirts and T's are a must have for this season!

The New range of printed T's, especially the Black Crew Neck 'Travel' T with multi-colored prints of World's most travelled destinations is a really cool pick. Another T in White with a Taj Mahal and 'Made in India' printed is simple and Patirotic.

Amongst Casual Shirts, the Navy Blue Slim Fit Party Shirt with contrasting Black Cuff line and Square chest pocket caught my eye. It comes in Black as well.
I also like the Red and Black 'Gingham Check' Shirt with a contrasting Black inside cuff and Collar Band which is available in Blue should you not like Red. Paired with a Khaki and a Moccasin, you are ready for your Sunday Brunch in any of these Shirts.

The best thing about this Brand is, there are options to customize your clothing style or size to compliment you better and not end up buying the exact same product as others. You can customize the fit, collar styles, cuff style,  pocket and even add a monogram  to your apparel.

How cool is that! I would love a Monogram on my clothing, it gives me a sense of Luxury, like it was specially crafted for me!

They also offer free shipping in India with an assurance to make your product available to you in a maximum of 8 days, depending on your location and whether your order is customized.

Payment through cash on delivery or various prepaid options, a dedicated 24 hour helpline to address your grievance and a 7 day free exchange or return just in case you are not satisfied with the product.

Now let's hope it doesn't come to that! I am sure they are driven towards rendering a good customer service.

Don't take my Word for it.. just go ahead and try it yourself. They are giving away a Discount Coupon of Rs.100 on the Casual Shirt Range this week.
Coupon Code - CASUAL 100

Print me Pretty!

I'm loving the trend of Printed Pants and this post is all about it and  how you can put together a look according to your Body type.

Prints can be either Bold and Large or Small and Delicate. Always remember that only Tall women can carry off Bold and Large Prints. Petite and Curvy women like me can carry off the small and delicate ones. Wearing Bold prints will make you look shorter and to some extent plumpier.

There are again a variety of Prints. Here are a couple of them I put together:

1) Graphic Designs

2) Florals

3) Animal Print

4) Military Camouflage

Fashion Faux Pas:

Even Supermodels like Elle Macpherson can get some looks wrong. In this case the Drop Crotch Pant looks horribly wrong.

Gwen Stefani has a lot of matchy-matchy issues going on in here. She definitely got it all wrong with the Statement Neck Piece and the Bulky wedges as well.

Rihanna on the other hand tried the Camouflage Pants but the fit of the Pant and the Denim Jacket does no justice to her.

It is Very important to remember the below with Printed Pants :
- Choose the right fit
- Choose plain or minimally Printed Tops
- Choose Simple accessories.
- Choose sleeker Shoes or Stilettos.

Pep it Up!

Peplum, derived from the Greek word 'Peplos', in ancient Greece it was a woman's loose outer tunic or shawl. In today's world, Peplum would mean a frilly attachment to a Blouse, skirt, dress or a Jacket near the waist, adding a little drama to the garment. This trend was a huge hit during the 1880's, 1940's, 1980's And is back in fashion now.

Peplum suits best for the straight body type giving the person some volume around the waist area making them look Curvy. Having said that, curvy women can also pull this look by choosing a Peplum with less Flair.

Here's how you can incorporate Peplum in your wardrobe:

Peplum Blouse/Top

1. With Trousers

  2. With Shorts

   3. With Skirts

Peplum Skirts

Peplum Dresses

1. Cocktail length

2. Maxi's &Gowns

Jacket

Here are a few Pep picks that are very Edgy. If you can Pull these off.. Nothing like it !!

Bling it On!

For ages now Bling has been a very important element in our wardrobe. A certain amount of bling adds all the Zazz to your outfit for any occasion. In this post I'll show you how u could wear bling to different occasions and how much bling is too much!

For a Casual day outing with friends, choose a Top with lighter shaded matte Sequins or a T with sequins around the neckline or a little sequin work on the Front. Team it up with a Denim Trousers or skirt in lighter shades. Here are a few eg.

Anoushka Sharma in a Zara Top & Denim

For a Formal Cocktail event choose a knee length sequin dress. Remember to accessorise with simple pieces. Choose a clutch in solid colors. For eg.
Kajal Aggarwal in a Sequinned Cocktail Dress

The latest trend being dresses in flowy materials with a high-low hemline, in which the sequin work is from the neck down covering only half of the dress. Eg.

Anoushka Sharma & Genelia D'Souza in Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna - sequins

For an informal party with friends try on a combo of a Sequinned Skirt and a Bright Neon Colored Blouse. Eg.
Shilpa Shetty in a Sequinned Skirt

Another option is to incorporate Bling only to your Blazer and keep the other pieces plain and simple.

All being said you can get this look all wrong and end up looking like a Chirstmas Tree with too much Bling on. Now here's a fashion faux pas you do not want to commit while wearing Bling:
